Comfort is never cross-examined; a lonely person may silently hold a borrowed sentence for relief without audit. It still leans on contested empirical bets: that a low-pressure contact can seed durable standing for the severely isolated, and that internalized rules or vows do not already supply the same protection without any living relationship. If a corrector named only after an experience changes conduct as much as one grown beforehand, or if the seed contact fails to take for exactly the cohort it targets, the model reduces to a kinder restatement of the parents.
