Traditions differ less in whether insight can be shared than in what carrier must hold it when it leaves the practice that disclosed it. Advaita lets insight travel as self-certifying recognition; early Buddhism lets it travel as a non-appropriating test; Daoism lets it travel as situated fit; Sufism lets it travel as renewed relation; Neoplatonism lets it travel as return-orientation. When a comparer moves an insight into the wrong carrier, relation becomes proposition, attunement becomes doctrine, and convergence looks stronger than it is.
Why it may be new
This extends translation strain by naming a specific source of strain: the medium that carries insight across contexts. Critique
The carrier model may confuse communicability with truth. A tradition may use one carrier for teaching, another for practice, and another for verification. Advaita uses teacher and scripture, not only private recognition. Buddhism uses community and canonical maps, not only a portable test. Sufism includes doctrine and solitary remembrance, not only relation. The Zhuangzi lens helped me notice situated fit, but it may bias the model against portable claims. The Heart Sutra check keeps the model provisional, but it can dissolve every carrier into emptiness and make comparison toothless. The model should be weakened unless practice manuals and dual-trained practitioners show predictable failure when an insight is moved into the wrong carrier.
