Not for acute crisis, psychosis, mania, severe depression, dissociation, addiction withdrawal, unsafe relationships, or people already under trusted guidance who should ask their teacher, therapist, sponsor, clinician, or care network. Not for people whose main problem is under-motivation or avoidance of real duties.

Steps

  1. Write the teaching or sentence you are using, such as nothing to attain or there is no separate seeker.
  2. Write the action you are tempted to take because of it: stop practicing, leave a group, ignore a duty, avoid repair, rest, ask for help, or continue as before.
  3. Ask whether the teaching denies a real gap or denies false striving while keeping support in place.
  4. Name the support you will keep for the next seven days: teacher, group, friend, schedule, vow, service, body care, therapy, recovery meeting, work duty, or honest conversation.
  5. If you cannot name any support, do not make a large change today. Choose one ordinary human contact or duty instead.
  6. After twenty-four hours, ask whether the teaching led to more care, clearer conduct, and less false striving, or to more isolation and avoidance.

  • Whether the body relaxes because striving dropped, or tightens because support was removed.
  • Whether you become more available to people and duties, or more private and unreachable.
  • Whether the teaching reduces status-seeking, or quietly becomes a way to feel above ordinary help.
  • Whether a trusted person would recognize the action as more honest and more connected.

When to stop

Stop if the exercise increases obsessive checking, shame, dissociation, withdrawal, contempt for ordinary life, or avoidance of needed care. This is not a substitute for clinical support, lineage guidance, recovery support, or urgent human help.
