When two teachings sound alike, ask who taught whom before you lean on the likeness.
Agreement between traditions is only as trustworthy as the history behind it. Sameness that comes from borrowing, shared translators, or a flattening modern vocabulary is not two voices agreeing; it is one voice echoed.
The Teaching
It is a comfort to hear that all paths say the same thing. The comfort is real, but the claim is often borrowed. One teacher read another; one translator chose familiar words; one popular book smoothed away the differences. The likeness you find may be the seam where they touched, not a truth each reached alone. This does not make either teaching false. It means you cannot count two echoes as two witnesses.
