Do not borrow a teaching until you know what it is meant to heal.
A teaching that changes its repair task becomes a new teaching and needs a new test.
The Teaching
Some words look strong because they have traveled far. Self, no-self, surrender, emptiness, silence, and witness can sound alike after enough translation. That likeness is not yet wisdom.
Ask what trouble the teaching was meant to correct. Ask who was allowed to guide it, what counted as proof, and what kind of person it was trying to form. If those answers change, carry the sentence more slowly.
A borrowed teaching should make life more truthful, more responsible, and more connected. If it makes a person vanish from duty, harden into certainty, or turn pain into a private doctrine, the repair has changed.

Survives primary-text pressure between Upanishadic unseen-seer language and early Buddhist not-self analysis by preserving a shared de-objectifying move while refusing to call the metaphysical repair the same. Survives near-prior pressure only as a narrower repair-survival gate, not as a new comparative method in general.

Borrowed Sentence Practice Pilot
Stable cross-tradition readers using The Repair Check will report fewer false all-paths-agree conclusions, fewer avoidance rationalizations, and more concrete accountable action than ordinary journaling. If ordinary journaling performs as well or better, or if loneliness and rumination rise, the practice weakens.

Safety Boundary Review
