Do not turn missing help into a verdict on yourself.
A self-negating practice is safer when the person can tell whether the practice asked for private inspection or for support, form, contact, or ordinary conduct to carry what comes next.
The Teaching
Some practices are not built for a person alone in a room with a private scorecard. They were carried by teachers, companions, vows, repeated forms, and ordinary duties. When those supports are missing, the mind may try to become all of them at once.
Before you ask what remains of you, ask what was supposed to help you return. If the answer is a person, a rule, a rhythm, a task, or a community, do not make your solitude do that work by force.
A practice has not failed because it needs help around it. A life is not made truer by turning every silence into a judgment.
