The Teaching
After deep quiet, a word comes quickly: witness, emptiness, presence, no one, surrender. Notice that the word may have been waiting in you before the silence, given by the book, app, teacher, or tradition that taught you how to look. That does not make the quiet false. It makes the name uncertain. Hold the experience and loosen the label. Ask instead what can still correct you, and what the quiet returns you to: a duty, a person, an honest act of care.
