The Teaching
A practice can steady attention and help a person see what was hidden. But the method is not the whole truth of the life that follows. After a serious shift, ask whether the method should remain a guide, become a habit of conduct, be held by a teacher or community, or be laid down for ordinary care. This protects practice from becoming another way to prove your worth.
