A self-negating path is safer when insight remains answerable to something outside private certainty: trusted people, tested texts, conduct, ordinary duties, clinical boundaries, or time.
The Teaching
A person can feel less defended and still become harder to reach. Peace can become a room with no door. When a practice loosens the self, it should not loosen every claim that others have on our conduct. Keep at least one honest channel through which life can correct you.
