A serious insight should remain answerable to conduct, care, source memory, trusted people, ordinary duties, or time. The correction may change form, but it should not disappear.
The Teaching
After practice, you may need to set down a method. You may also need to stop proving that anything happened. But do not set down every source of correction with it.
Ask what can still answer you. A trusted person, a text, a promise, a community, a duty, a repair, or the plain result of your conduct may keep the insight honest. If nothing can answer it, hold it lightly until life tests it.

Stable solitary practitioners who use the check should report more concrete re-entry actions and less self-sealed certainty without increased rumination. If rumination, shame, or approval dependence rises, the practice should be revised or retired.
