- Ask: what new thing could I now predict, do, decide, or repair because of this answer?
- If nothing, you are refining, not discovering. Continue.
- Write the single observation, test, or outcome that would show this answer is wrong.
- Schedule or take the first concrete step toward that test today.
- Stop refining the question until the test returns a result.
