Do not carry a question that has nowhere to return you.

A question about what remains after self-loosening is not valid because it feels deep. It becomes a worthy practice question only when it has a clear function, a trustworthy holder, and a return to ordinary care.

The Teaching

Some questions help you see. Some only keep you checking.

Before you ask what is left of you, ask what the question is for. Does it belong to the practice you are doing? Is there a teacher, text, vow, community, duty, or concrete act of care that can hold what comes next?

If the answer is no, let the question rest for now. Return to one task, one person, or one act of repair. A question that cannot return you to life may be measuring you, not freeing you.

Over-Auditor Practice Pilot

Screened stable over-auditors using The Place To Land Check should report less self-grading, less verdict seeking, and more ordinary care than groups assigned to generic journaling, ordinary rest, social contact, or unstructured reflection. If the check increases reassurance rituals or performs no better than rest, the practice weakens.

Next: Run a two-week diary pilot with exclusions for acute crisis, OCD or scrupulosity, dissociation, severe depression, mania, psychosis, addiction withdrawal, unsafe authority, and current frightening meditation effects.
